Blends & Vatted
Blends and vatted whiskies are terms used to describe the process of mixing different types of whisky together. Blended whiskies are traditionally used in bars and pubs for cocktails or mixing, while vatted whiskies are blends of single malt whiskies only. The term vatting was traditionally synonymous with blending, but today the word blending is used to refer to a vatting of whiskies from more than one distillery.
