A well made, well aged D #4 is a flavorful, soft but fullbodied, smoke. The aroma is toasty and rich, and the draw is easy. My experience is that consistency has been unreliable. Ive had boxes that were full of tight, poorly rolled, almost green, cigars, and others that were superb all around. Could the poor ones have been counterfeits? Its certainly possible, even from the reputable dealer I buy from...so buyer beware and dont buy them sight unseen. All that aside though, a good Partagas D #4 is a truly fine cigar. Cut it before I took the dog for a walk and found the draw very tight so couldnt get much taste out of it. However once back home I cut it further down - it has a deep cap and it sprang to life. Pleasant and consistent taste. I had originally bought it to keep for a year but it was my last stick left. May buy another one and keep for a year. I think (hope) itll improve with age, which is more than I can say about myself.

Ordered Sat arrived Wed great service. Came in a nice wooden box so would be nice as a present. Didn't really know what to expect so when opened a little shocked at how rough and dry they looked, on closer inspection I think this is more to do with the rough foot and bits flaking and not as dry as they first appeared. Have put in the humidor but not before trying one. Nice even burn and surprisingly cool until the very last third. Constant wood and earth flavour throughout with a small hint of chocolate, however during the last third quite bitter although this was probably due to heating up. Lasted a good half hour which is what I was looking for and for the price a pleasant smoke. Looking forward to the rest to see if a bit of time in the humidor brings out anything new but on first impression I will come back for more.

best ever Robusto i have ever had. Full bodied, Nice aroma, and not-so-tight draw. With first few couple of draw, u might not enjoy the mixture of taste however once it got to 1/4 of the way, the distinct taste suddenly hits u with a nice distinct sweet wood aroma and the draw gets better and better until u decide u have had enough written by BearNUC
